Mindhunter Season 2 Review: 5 Ups & 3 Downs

1. Not Following Up On Holden's Panic Attacks

Mindhunter Holden
Netflix

One of the more disappointing aspects of the season was the way the show dealt with Holden's panic attacks. With the way season 1 ended and season 2 started, it seemed like they would be focal point of the season, or at least Holden's main story this season.

And yet, after couple of episodes they seemed almost non-consequential. "He's back", said Bill, and that was it. Holden popped a Valium or two for the rest of the season, but the topic was pretty much never revisited. Seeing the psychological effects of the job was an enticing prospect, but instead we got a dead end.

It would possibly be wrong to say that the creators simply forgot about it, because it would make sense that we will see those panic attacks come back with vengeance next season, but the whole plotline seemed to have zero impact on Holden and the rest of the show.

Agnieszka Zablotna hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
