The newest TV spots showcased some huge lightning shows accompanying the incoming war between gods as well as a resurgence of ancient forgotten magic from Egypt. Similar to Shang-Chi’s ancient dynasty under the Mandarin and the Ten Rings, the new introduction of these powerful weapons caused Sorceror Supreme Wong to analyse and discuss with other Avengers.

Wong has appeared throughout Moon Knight's comic history including the more recent run by Jed Mackay. He had also handpicked Mr. Knight for a mission against Mephisto during the popular Doctor Strange: Damnation comic series which birthed the Midnight Sons team (as well as implementing a huge, hell-themed casino right in the middle of Las Vegas). Proving Marc's usefulness to Earth's protection, the two had since built mutual respect along with confidence in counting on each other when events turn slightly demonic.

After being revealed in Spider-Man: No Way Home that Doctor Strange was no longer the Sorceror Supreme, Wong has been seen a couple of instances picking up the pieces and continuing the sacred duties for Earth’s protection (such as Shang-Chi’s post-credits scene as well as his minimal cameo in No Way Home).

Though Wong is expected to make a larger return in the anticipated Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, he could appear in a scene during Moon Knight inspecting the reawakening of Khonshu’s avatar.
