Narcos Season 2 Review: 8 Ups & 3 Downs

1. It Ends On An Unnecessary Cliffhanger

It's not much of a spoiler to say that Pablo Escobar's final destination isn't a pleasant one, and while season two largely ties off Escobar's story with a neat bow, the finale ends in a manner that suggests more is yet to come.

This isn't a huge surprise in of itself, given that the showrunners have expressed a desire to follow other stories once Escobar's is done, but honestly this feels like such a tight way to end the show that it's almost a shame it's going to be dragged out for more episodes that may struggle to fill the Escobar void.

It's going to happen either way, so we'll just have to wait and see, but sometimes less is more, and perhaps ending the show at a restrained two seasons would've been the smart choice. Check back in another 12 months for the verdict.

Thankfully the pros far outweigh the cons, so here's everything that worked in season 2...
