4. Jessica Jones S2 Is "Dark And Heavy"

With production underway on Jessica Jones Season 2, we should start to hear more about the forthcoming run. One bit of information we've already received comes courtesy of Mike Colter, who told the crowd at C2E2 something Krysten Ritter had told him about Season 2, which is that the storyline is "dark and heavy."

Ok, so no audible gasps of surprise there. The first season of Jessica Jones went to some pretty dark places, and tackled very heavy themes. It's not a shock that they'd continue down that road, but what is interesting is that the fact it's been commented on by Colter and Ritter suggests it's getting even darker and heavier than Season 1, which is really saying something.

Of course, while Ritter just told this information to her friend and co-star, it could be read as a hint towards Luke Cage appearing again in Jessica Jones. With the two productions crossing over, there's definitely potential for some overlapping storytelling there.

In terms of storyline, we do know that it'll dig even deeper into Jessica's backstory, which is where some of what they're talking about should come from, and further analyse her relationship with Trish, who is quite likely to become Hellcat during Season 2 (with the seeds potentially planted during The Defenders).
