Netflix's The Order: 12 Questions That Must Be Answered In Season 2
10. What Will Happen To Maddox Coventry?
Once Jack revives Clay, the younger Coventry son is no longer necessary for Jack's plan to stop Edward. As a result, Maddox is never brought to the temple as promised. He is last seen in the Knights' temporary stronghold, when Vera wipes his memory of the kidnapping and renders him unconscious.
Since Maddox presumably did not remain in the Knights' custody after this, his whereabouts remain unknown. With a deceased mother and a father who's been sucked into a magical book, it's unclear who would now be responsible for his care. Vera most likely took measures to ensure his safety, but this is not explicitly shown.
Wherever he is, the loss of his father will almost certainly take its toll on him. Since Edward has clearly told him quite a bit about magic and the Order, it is even possible that he knows enough to become a potential threat to those he blames for the loss of his only surviving parent. In this case, he could become either an enemy or an ally, depending on whether he places blame for his father's fate on Vera or the Knights.
Of course, this assumes that Vera didn't deprive Maddox of his memory as she did to the other Coventry son. Maddox may have no knowledge of his father whatsoever. If this is the case, Season 2 may well involve Vera raising Maddox as her own son, indoctrinating him to support her cause in much the same way Edward did. The series thus far has treated Maddox largely as a prop, so it might not be realistic to expect that he'll be taking charge of his own story anytime soon.
