6. The Reason Coach Left
Damon Wayans Jr. was one of the original lineup in New Girl, but was forced to quickly pull out of the show, leaving Winston to step up in place of Coach. Wayans took the New Girl part based on the assumption that Happy Endings, the other show he was working on, was going to be cancelled.
Instead, it kept running, forcing Wayans to drop out of New Girl, but returned later in the series. Unfortunately Season 4 saw him depart on a more permanent basis, though Max Greenfield told US Weekly that the door is open for a Coach return if needed.
