Obi-Wan Kenobi Part I & II Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs
6. A New Villain Promises Big Things
Although some more time with the Grand Inquisitor would have been great to see, Obi-Wan's new foe Reva - the Third Sister - has already proven to be an exceptional addition to the fold.
Played by The Queen Gambit's Moses Ingram, Reva's single-minded desire to hunt down Obi-Wan is gripping from the off, painting her as a dangerous adversary whose past is sure to be explored deeply down the line.
At the moment, we know she used to be a Jedi before her mind was twisted by the Empire, and that her reckless abandon has made her come to blows with her own superiors. Her obsessiveness hints at a tragic backstory, most likely linked to Part I's opening flashback to the younglings escaping Order 66.
The potential is there to make Reva yet another haunted villain who's backstory adds more compelling strands to the evilness of the Empire, but also to explore an unseen part of Obi-Wan's post-Purge life.
Fingers crossed the show doesn't drop the ball.
