Obi-Wan Kenobi Part IV Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

1. Obi-Wan Gets Back To Basics

And that brings us the best aspect of Part IV, which all comes down to Obi-Wan Kenobi himself. Finally reconnected to the Force and caught in his most dangerous since the Clone Wars, the rusty Jedi has started to remind us how strong he is.

Using classic mind tricks to distract stormtroopers, wielding his lightsaber with more confidence, and keeping himself concentrated enough to hold back a flood that threatens to drown him, Leia, and Tala, Part IV is proof that we're getting that much closer to seeing Obi-Wan back at full power.

Better yet, it also hints that the show's got another Obi-Wan/Vader duel up its sleeve, only this time much fairer and epic.

In its final two episodes, the show would do well to really dig into Obi-Wan's emotional state, but even with this episode's flaws, it's hard not to be excited by his returning strength. Hopefully it's all uphill from here.
