Obi-Wan Kenobi Part IV Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

8. The Underwhelming Interrogation Sequence

One of the more promising moments of Part IV comes from the interrogation scene between Reva and a captive Leia. Reva, still desperate for power and Darth Vader's respect, wants to find Obi-Wan, Tala, and their allies, known as the Path.

Though the scenes in which Reva attempts to inch closer to her goals are aided by strong work from Moses Ingram and Vivien Lyra Blair, and add credence to the fact that Leia has always been Force-sensitive, they also don't really go anywhere new for either character.

In an ideal world, Reva and Leia would have been given the opportunity to reveal things about their characters, or tease their futures. But instead it's just filler, building up slowly until Obi-Wan arrives and saves the day.

Considering the fact there's only two episodes left, some added insight into the past of Reva - how she became an Inquisitor, how she knows Anakin's identity, why she longs to capture Kenobi - would've added great depth to the show's characters.

As it stands, though, it looks like we'll have to wait for answers.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
