Only Fools And Horses: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

3. Season 7

Only Fools And Horses
BBC

The final of the traditional fixed episode series, if this was to be the final memory of the Trotter brothers, then Sullivan and Co. were going out in style with the often funny and very emotional season seven.

Carrying on the overarching format introduced in the previous season, this one followed the return of Raquel and her year with Derek following the announcement of her pregnancy. All while the failing marriage of Rodney and Cassandra continues to frustrate and amuse.

Obviously the weakest storyline is the younger brother's marriage problems, and while not bad, there is a lot of repeated back and forth to the point where it becomes a bit frustrating. The main story of Raquel's pregnancy is dealt with much better, culminating in the birth of Damien and the beautiful final scene of Derek speaking to his deceased mother.

The weekly storylines, as per the course by now, are phenomenal, hilarious, and more often quite emotional. The cabaret episode with Tony Angelino builds to a side-bursting climax, Uncle Albert's mugging is one of the more heartbreaking moments of the series, Roy Slater's return offered a huge twist, it's one of the series where there is too much good to count.
