Lorna Morella is, along with Poussey, one of the sweetest and generally nicest inmates at Litchfield. Throughout the show we hear her talk (with some sort of prohibition-era New York/Boston hybrid accent) of her fiancee Christopher, and how hell be waiting for her and theyll have a big wedding once she finally gets out. In season 2, though, we devastatingly learn that her fiancee is actually a man she had just one date with, who she met while running a mail-order scam, and who she stalked and tried to kill. She breaks into his house after dropping Rosa off at a chemotherapy session, putting on a wedding dress and taking a bath, and narrowly escaping before he returns home. Christopher then visits her in prison, where he loudly declares that she is crazy. We then see her admit to Nicky that she knows she has mental problems. Shes a character you cant help but like, and also one of the most tragic.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
