7. Daya's Baby
Talking of John and Daya, it seems pretty likely that their baby will make its way into the world this season. So far in Litchfield we havent really come across any mother-baby combos, so it will be intriguing to see how this will fit into prison life - if it ends up staying with Daya. If it is born, the prison will surely not be able to take it from her, so whatever happens circumstances are going to change hugely for Daya. More than that, the prison authorities have not yet really dealt Dayas pregnancy. Its only a matter of time, and so will probably come pretty early in season 2. Mendez was already suspended for sleeping with Daya, so the finger of blame will be pointed squarely at him. Mendez may be a corrupt sleaze-bag, but thats a pretty harsh thing to land on someone you see every day. Both John and Daya are likely to feel the pressure, and whether theyll make it through this season together is a question that probably has an unhappy answer.
