Ozark Season 3: 6 Ups & 2 Downs

6. Ups: (Most Of) The New Characters

Ozark season 3
Netflix

The interactions/character drama of Ozark are some of the best parts of the show, and to keep things fresh each season, the show's tried to introduce characters that fit naturally into the story while still bringing a new dynamic to the table.

Ben (Tom Pelphrey), Wendy's estranged brother, is a notable standout with multiple emotional scenes this season that will have him in early award talks. His shaky past along with a serious secret makes his introduction to the Ozarks an interesting one as he tries to wrap his brain around the Byrde's new lifestyle.

FBI Agent Maya Miller (Jessica Dukes) is a different breed of fed than what viewers have seen in the past two seasons. A pregnant mother near birth, she's extremely intelligent and knows Marty is working for the cartel and wants to do everything in her power to get him to confess. Unlike Agents Evans and Perry, however, she still sees the good in Marty and appeals to his heart and honor instead of by using fear.

Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) and Frank Jr.(Joseph Sikora) are also two other notable additions to the cast who may not have done anything groundbreaking but still played their parts very well.
