Parks & Recreation: 10 Great Moments From 100 Great Episodes
9. When Perd Hapley Did The Worm
"You're on 'Ya Heard, with Perd.'" "The story of this story is, it won't stop unraveling." "It's a heartwarming story, but it's just not believable. That's why I give E.T. 1 1/2 stars." I'm just going to say it: Perd Hapley is one of the greatest side characters in all of television: it's completely undeniable. He even has his own dedicated Tumblr following (his fans are called Perd-verts, in case you were curious,) and given his instant quotability, it's not really hard to see why. Perd has amazing responses to non-questions, is constantly coming up with new show formats to keep up with the ever changing market, and he clearly has moves, as he proves in season 2 episode "Telethon," in which he does the worm. The execution is near flawless, and he commits fully, wearing an irresistibly '80s tank and hammer pants combo, and he wormed his way into our hearts even more persistently.
