8. When Leslie Met Joe Biden
Lesley has something of an obsession with charismatic, train-riding Vice President, Joe Biden. When Ann was helping Leslie fill out her HoosierMate.com dating profile, Leslie described her perfect man as having the brains of George Clooney and the body of Joe Biden. An odd combination to say the least. When Jennifer Barkley comes to town, she tries to bribe Leslie with Joe Biden's home phone number, and it almost works. And finally, when Leslie makes a unity quilt for her and Ben's engagement party, she hides a small picture of Joe Biden on the quilt. In summary: obsession. And because Ben loves Leslie (and has connections in Washington), he arranges a surprise meeting for her with Biden. She has trouble speaking, touches him inappropriately and basically threatens his security staff, and crucially it makes for brilliant television.
