4. Ben Wyatt
After missing out on the first two seasons almost entirely, Ben was sent to Pawnee along with Chris originally as a threat to the Parks Department. He was their bad cop in their routine, made to look even worse by comparison to Chris' ultra positive outlook, as he looked to slash their budget and potentially even a few jobs.
He and Leslie butted heads to begin with, but as the whole Parks and Rec crew, and the viewers watching got to know Ben more however, he became more and more likeable and relatable. He was a full on nerd, obsessed with board games, Batman, and Game of Thrones, and had hilariously ruined his home town of Partridge when he was elected Mayor at just 18.
Unlike most of the main characters in the show, Ben's career was anything but consistent, as he left City Hall, quit the same accounting job several times, ran election campaigns and even worked for the heartless corporation that was Sweetums.
Even in spite of the fact he didn't understand the fuss about Pawnee's own celebrity, Lil' Sebastian, Ben was welcomed into the group. He eventually fell in love and married Leslie, started a family with her, and supported his wife in everything she ever did, even if it meant he couldn't run for Governor himself.
