Peaky Blinders: 10 Best Minor & Supporting Characters
4. Oswald Mosley
Just when you thought this vile man was going to die, he didn't. Tommy's plan failed and Mosely was left alive to spread his message of fascism throughout Britain.
How great was Oswald Mosley and Sam Claflin's performance in the 5th season? Well, just when we all felt like we'd had enough of the gangster villains and needed a breath of fresh air, up stepped Mosley. A real-life person that had awful views and an ability to mobilise people behind him, in short, he was everything the show needed.
Never has Tommy faced a person like this before, a person who in a lot of ways is just like him. Ruthless, brutal, and completely in charge of his own agenda. Mosley never gives away his hand before he plays it, he never shows weaknesses, which is why Tommy tried to kill him outright. Tommy couldn't beat Mosley in a political battle, nor in a war of wits, so has to resort to his base instinct - kill.
Where Tommy & Mosley's battle will take them in the next season, who knows. But a villain like Oswald was too good to have in just one season.
