Peaky Blinders: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

17. Jessie Eden

Peaky Blinders
BBC

A champion for women's rights and a member of the communist party, Jessie Eden makes a memorable debut in Season Four. Based on the real-life social activist of the same name, Jessie uses her influence to stage walkouts and strikes by female workers of big companies such as Shelby Company Limited.

Jessie is a great addition to the cast and her presence is part of a large narrative shift that takes place in Season Four, where more time and attention is given to the female characters of the show (or at least those not already named Polly).

Sadly, Jessie Eden begins to develop a relationship with Tommy that turns sexual. This leads to Jessie forsaking her beliefs when she votes for him in the election, after which, it is revealed that Tommy is just using her. It is unfortunate that a strongly defined female character would give up her values because she fell for Tommy.
