Peaky Blinders: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

1. Season Two

Peaky Blinders
BBC

Peaky Blinders at its peak (forgive me) is the second season of the show. Firing on all cylinders, Season Two took everything that was great about Season One and improved on it without any of the drawbacks of the later seasons.

Tom Hardy enters the show as the always quotable and boisterously bombastic Alfie Solomons, a Jewish gangster who goes into business with the Blinders. Solomons is one of Hardy's best roles and it is clear he is always having a blast whenever he's on screen.

Campbell is still the major antagonist, reinforcing the hatred and rivalry he has with the Shelby family. Michael is introduced as Polly's long lost son and both Finn Cole and Helen McCrory are given their best material when interacting with each other.

The plot builds with a strong anticipation as expectations run high. Grace gets Tommy, The Peaky Blinders and Alfie get a win over the Italian Mob and Campbell gets his comeuppance at the hands of a vengeful Polly, in a scene that features one of many examples of Helen McCrory's simply irreplaceable talent.

Season Two is the pinnacle of Peaky Blinders and the show's final season will have to do a lot to come close to this level of quality.
