Peep Show is far from having an ensemble cast, but it's back up characters provide some of the stand out moments for the series. Perhaps the reason why these characters provide such stand out moments is they are all fully fleshed out and developed personalities. This is an odd thing in Sitcoms, with side characters often just being stereotypes or resorting to samey lines of dialogue. Characters such as Johnson provide excellent lines of dialogue whilst driving the story line forward, often in spite of the main characters. Big Suze, once Jeremy's girlfriend (how, no one will ever know) has been a peripheral character throughout the show but when she does pop up there's always interesting interplay between her and whomever she interacts with. Big Suze only made her first appearance in Series 3, despite already feeling a big part of Peep Show. It would be great to see Big Suze make at least one more appearance. Perhaps her and Johnson tie the knot? There's the possibility the show might book-end itself quite nicely and have her and Jez finally reunite. Another secondary character deserving of a proper send off is Sophie. For the first few series she was the perennial love interest for Mark and when he finally got together with her it was a train wreck of epic proportions. Now they have a kid together, the likelihood of her not making a final appearance is low. The writers need to give her character proper closure, from Mark's viewpoint and ours. Though the show seems to have quashed any chance of Mark and Sophie rekindling their marriage, they need to address the 'Jeff' factor. Will Mark's worry that his son will see Jeff as his real father be substantiated. It would be wrong for us to not find out. Whilst it would be difficult - and pointless - for the writers to try and cram all the old characters into the final series, it would be great to see a few familiar faces one last time.
