Person Of Interest Season 3: 10 Major Improvements On Season 2

7. Stronger Writing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kevbb1oezUk The writing this season was significantly stronger in all areas of the show, from the way character€™s lines were written to telling an episode€™s story. With the inclusion of so many more characters it seemed a lot of time was taken to really make each and every one stand out and sound unique. Of particular note was the back and forth bickering between Reese and Shaw, Root and Shaw, and Fusco with everyone else. Each pairing brought a great amount of humour and levity to the show, but more than that, they also had a unique relationship, making it so one character couldn€™t easily be supplanted by another in any given scene. The stories themselves were also quite strong, offering intriguing plots and neat twists along the way, but perhaps the highlight of the season was the amazing Endgame Trilogy, made up of the episodes €˜Endgame€™, €˜The Crossing€™ and €˜The Devil€™s Share€™. These three episodes focused on the downfall of HR and had one of the biggest developments of the series so far as Detective Carter died. Tension was riddled throughout the entire story, with €˜The Crossing€™ providing a particular high-point as as it looked like any member of the POI team would die at several points. Audiences got some good callbacks to the pilot episode and an excellent and moving character moment between Reese and Carter before she died, making it a standout episode that ranks among Person of Interest€™s best.
