Preacher Season 3: 3 Ups & 1 Down From 'Hilter'

1. Eccarius & Cassidy Bond

The Les Enfants du Sang story arc is certainly the best that Preacher has to offer, and this quite simply wouldn't be so if not for its two central characters. Cassidy and Eccarius feel like old souls, who've known each other forever - despite only having just met. As discussed here, Cassidy's friendship with Eccarius has heaps of potential moving forward. In fact, much of said potential was explored during this particular episode. upon relaxing that Eccarius might actually be the sweet guy he claims to be, Cassidy began bonding with the age-old vampire. In a sweet montage, the pair take to the skies once more and fly through the air in scenes reminiscent of last week. Following that, they down large quantities of alcohol at a New Orleans' bar. They even manage to fight off The Grail's assassins together. and when they'd finish doing that, they share a romantic kiss.

Cassidy has always been a very open person, and the show deserves to be applauded for not shying away from the obvious chemistry between the two characters - and the two actors. Of course, the later revelation that Eccarius is an evil sh*t will likely prove fatal for this relationship, but hopefully we can get several more scenes of the two characters together before that happens.
