Preacher Season 3: 5 Ups And 1 Down From 'The Tombs'
3. The Saint Of Killers Is Back
This one speaks for itself, really. Throughout Preacher's three-season run, the AMC series has seen many antagonists, but none of them have been able to live up to the batsh*t Saint Of Killers. Played magnificently by Graham McTavish, the villainous character (who is eerily reminiscent of WWE's The Undertaker) was apprehended in Season 2 and sent back to Hell, but not before asking for an audience with Satan.
The Tombs finally gives viewers a chance to see that conversation, as the episode opens with a hell guard approaching the Saint's cell, so that he can escort the killer to see the devil. The moment that those signature boots appear on screen is goose-bump-inducing. In typical Preacher fashion, once the Saint enters the elevator, uplifting music plays from the radio, which juxtaposes the setting entirely. It's truly wonderful to have Preacher's best baddie back on out screens once more.
