Ranking 10 Worst Arrowverse Costumes
1. Red Tornado
While one can certainly appreciate Supergirl's decision to avoid excessive use of computer-generated imagery, one case in which they might have been better to use it was the debut of Red Tornado in the show's first season.
An android in the comics, much of Red Tornado's texture is understandably, for lack of a better term, metallic - which gives him a rather sleek and polished look. But in the Supergirl TV series, there was virtually nothing metallic about him, as he looked exactly like what he was on the surface: A man wearing red make-up covered from head-to-toe in chunky red snippets of carpet, with red denim gloves and a vaguely shiny red helmet to boot.
A complete misfire, it made the usually-expensive looking first season of Supergirl look really cheap - in spite of how well Iddo Goldberg played him.
The character returned through CGI in the crossover Crisis On Earth-X and judging by how well that one looked, it would have been better if they had gone this route in the first place.
