Ranking All Seasons Of 24 From Worst To Best
7. Day 8
While the seventh season of the show would have ideally been its last, an eighth day was still welcomed. At this point, Jack had hung up his Beretta for good, but trouble literally came knocking on his door - and knowing it would be set in New York provided a whole new landscape for Jack to mercilessly punch through.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing about the eighth season was its pacing and execution. Putting the action in New York during a UN Treaty is ripe for opportunity, but instead the show spent most of its time in nondescript locations, or inside the garish architecture of the New York CTU - a place with a whole new pallet of characters that were more miss than hit.
It's hard to say that the eighth day was as good as any other day - especially when the show tried to give us a Jack Bauer, who (by the end) had become a domestic terrorist and was now on the run from his own government. (Again!)
It wasn't all bad though. The action set pieces were some of the best the show ever did, and Anil Kapoor was a fantastic newcomer to the series.
