Ranking All Seasons Of 24 From Worst To Best
6. Day 3
It's fair to say that during the early days of 24's run, the show was still finding itself and discovering how far it could push its limits. In the third season, taking place three years after a truly shocking season finale cliffhanger, it seemed a reset button was pressed and most of the unanswered questions were forgotten - unless you played the 24: Video Game.
Day 3 saw the core CTU crew up against the release of a biological virus - another great change of pace for the show following the previous season's escapades with a nuclear bomb. What were the positives of the third season? Well, Chloe O'Brien made her series debut, parts of the story came full circle, and there were some genuinely emotional moments (RIP Ryan Chappelle).
The poorer side showed through more though. There was a lot of nonsensical melodrama: the narrative of Jack withdrawing from heroin addiction in a matter of hours was laughably absurd; the CTU sting operation concocted by Jack, Tony and Gael was ridiculously convoluted; and there was an entire plot thread involving Sherry Palmer that bored audiences to tears.
Overall, maybe give this day a miss.
