Ranking Every MCU TV Show From Worst To Best

8. Cloak & Dagger

MCU TV Shows
ABC

Cloak & Dagger certainly has the potential to rise much higher on this list. The Freeform show (Marvel's first foray onto cable television) recently finished airing its first ten episode season and a second has already been announced.

Arguably aimed more towards a teen audience than the broader focus of a typical Marvel release, Cloak and Dagger's biggest highlight is actually the chemistry and burgeoning romantic relationship between Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as the titular pair.

Its biggest weakness is one shared by far too many of the entries in this list - its runtime is far too long, particularly given that the pair aren't given many opportunities to actually put their newfound superpowers to use. The considerable prevalence of corporate juggernaut Roxxon Oil ties it to the wider cinematic and television universe, but their appearances are becoming tired seeing as seemingly every aspect of the company is evil but they are still somehow allowed to continue operating.

The use of New Orleans as a setting was a good choice, however, with its uniqueness providing a refreshing alternative to New York, where about 98% of everything that everything Marvel-related seems to happen (and where the leads are based in the comics).

Cloak & Dagger certainly has potential now that its foundations have been laid. Given the fairly obscure status of the characters and the lack of notable source material to draw upon, time will tell if its writers can act on it.
