Superman may have only made a few appearances on Supergirl thus far, but you have to give credit to the show's costume department for coming up with the perfect outfit for the Man of Steel to wear. It's no easy task to redefine the most recognisable superhero uniform of all time, but that's exactly what they did.

At first glance, it's hard to find anything original about it, simply because everything you would associate with Superman is there. The blue and red colours, the yellow emblem, the toothy grin that Tyler Hoechlin pulls off with ease: it's all there.

However, when you look closer, you can see a few subtle changes. With cape sockets reminiscent of Superman's Injustice counterpart and a blue frame around his iconic emblem, the show has added its own unique spin to the suit that rounds it off nicely. And Hoechlin absolutely rocks it.
