5. Stevie Budd
From the very beginning, Stevie stood out on Schitt's Creek. Where initially the Rose family were the materialistic characters that clashed with the more shameless and in-your-face members of the town, Stevie had a layer of burning sarcasm cooked into her being.
As much as the Rose family can't stand the town, Stevie feels the same way but has been there her whole life. Working at the front desk of the motel, Stevie has to make her own fun throughout the mundanity with her sharp jabs and witty comments at other people's expense.
She develops a complicated, yet pure friendship with David that grows and becomes stronger over the subsequent seasons and although they both hate affection, it is clear they love each other dearly.
It is a shame she didn't quite find the secure happiness the other characters managed to achieve by the end of the show as her loneliness was mentioned on occasion. But, she still ends the show as a successful partner in the motel business living in the same town as her best friend.
