Ranking The Main Characters Of Schitt's Creek From Worst To Best
4. Johnny Rose
The patriarch of the Rose family is as socially useless as he is optimistic about the future of his family. While the other members of the family tend to react with horror at their new predicament, most of Johnny's reactions are muted with a feeling of bemusement.
He tries hard to connect with his children on an emotional level and more times than not, fails to land everything he is going for. But, it is clear that he tries and is sincere in his attempt to do the right thing.
Eugene Levy brings a sense of bewilderment that only he can achieve with such ease. Levy has an excellent confused nature about him that makes him the perfect 'fish out of water' protagonist the show needed at the beginning.
As with all the characters on this show, Johnny grows and matures throughout and his honest excitement as things start to go his way for his family and the motel business is especially endearing.
