Ranking The Marvel Netflix Shows From Worst To Best

3. Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones
Netflix/EW

A difficult show to rank due to how much the show varied in quality over its three seasons. Season One stands as some of the very best material in the Marvel Netflix catalogue but quickly dives off a cliff into mediocrity for the subsequent seasons.

The main reason for this is the absence of Kilgrave, a deliciously evil portrayal from David Tennant who is clearly having a great time in the role. Tennant had exceptional chemistry with series lead Krysten Ritter who in her own right makes for a great Jessica Jones. Before Captain Marvel became the 'first' Marvel heroine to headline a cinematic property on her own, Jessica Jones was trailblazing on Netflix.

The show's first season deals with incredibly sensitive subject matter such as trauma and sexual assault and does so incredibly well. The dynamic between Ritter and Tennant only helps to strengthen those plotlines, so after Tennant departs at the end of Season One, the next few seasons struggle to reach those same highs.

Even with the added addition of the extremely talented Janet McTeer, Jessica Jones failed to live up to its maiden season that had been so exceptional.
