When the Wraith first began their long and grueling war with the human crew of the Atlantis, they were easy to view as soul-sucking monsters intent on ruling over their galactic flock of defenseless humans with malice and glee in the terror they brought with them.

That is until Commander Sheppard encountered a starving Wraith, played by Christopher Heyerdahl, who Sheppard befriended and escaped from Commander Koyla's jail with. A Wraith Sheppard decided to simply call Todd.

Todd the Wraith gave the Wraith the same complex morality as Teal'c and Bra'tac gave to the Goa'uld. Todd gave a deeper insight into the political structure of the Wraith and how their soul-sucking powers actually work, including the fact they can give life as well as take it.

Eventually, Todd became an invaluable ally in assisting the Atlantis crew with sabotaging the Wraith and causing mini rebellions and civil wars in the Wraith hierarchy. Todd was both comedic and imposing in his own ways, and as such is quite the fitting role for actor Jonathan Majors to portray.

Majors has successfully played both villains and heroes on television, and has shown that he can do comedy while also being incredibly imposing physically.

The Lovecraft Country star could give Todd a more fleshed out place in a reboot, participating in more stunts and fight choreography, as well as giving Atlantis a much more diverse roster of actors for the show's new era.
