7. Ricksy Business
The final episode of Season 1, Ricksy Business, had a promising premise. When Beth and Jerry go on a romantic Titanic getaway, they leave Rick, Morty, and Summer at home, where they throw a party. This episode is a perfect example of the wonderful wacky wit that characterises Rick and Morty, with the party serving as an introduction to some new characters as well as having guest appearances from preexisting fan favourite characters.
While Rick and Morty are having this fun ride for both the characters and the audience, Beth and Jerry's adventure isn't as enjoyable. Long story short, Jerry spends time with a Titanic worker while Beth relaxes on her own, but then Jerry ends up being seduced by his new companion, only to be saved by Beth at the last minute. This unnecessary and boring subplot ruins the episode.
If Ricksy Business had been solely about the party then it would have had a place much higher up on this list, but unfortunately all that is good is weighed down by the Beth and Jerry subplot.
