Rick And Morty Season 3: 8 Things We Cannot Wait To See

5. It's Just Like That Movie You Keep Crowing About

Rick and Morty Season 3
Adult Swim

Rick and Morty's movie inspired worlds and characters are the best. From Scary Terry, Summer's suggestion of an intergenerational sandwich, and the combination of Iron Man 2 and The Purge, Rick and Morty always excels when borrowing from other popular and well-known franchises.

Pretty much every episode of Rick and Morty is gloriously full of referential scenes and quips. And with the Season 3 trailer boasting scenes and environments calling to Game of Thrones and Mad Max: Fury Road, things couldn't be any more exciting.

It'd be a blast to see our favourite deranged scientist and always wailing sidekick interact with representations of the Game of Thrones cast. Particularly in King's Landing, where Rick is seen experimenting with potions whilst Morty strangles some exposed weakling with a mountain-sized arm.

As for the Mad Max: Fury Road-based episode, exhilarating chase scenes and explosions are guaranteed. Yet, with Summer, her ruthlessness, and her shotgun also being a part of the action, there's also the excitement of the even 'darker' humour Rick promises.

Plus, with other appetite whetting and unexplained sights such as Rick and Morty being tied down to a gigantic piano controlled by a minature one, there is sure to be more unforgettable, hugely important worlds that have not yet been properly showcased.
