Rick & Morty: 10 Characters You Forgot Existed
6. Tommy
The entire Smith family needs therapy (we'll get to that later). But, Beth might just need it the most for this one.
When Beth was a child, due to her jealousy at her best friend Tommy's healthy relationship with her father, she locked him away in a magical place called Froopyland. Since his kid went mysteriously missing, Tommy's father was convicted of murdering and eating him, prompting Beth to return to Froopyland in order to make right her wrong. Though, since this is Rick and Morty, things do not go as planned.
Being the only human in Froopyland, Tommy was forced to resort to cannibalistic incest of the locals in order to survive. However, the term survive might be a stretch, as nothing of the old Tommy remains. He has completely, both inside and out, warped into a disgusting monster of a person. His transformation is almost frightening, yet you can't really hold it against him.
At the end of the day, Tommy, like too many characters to count, existed for the sole purpose of showing just how much collateral damage the Smith family have left in their wake. It's important never to forget the Tommys of the series.
