Being adjudged to be a serial murderer is something that Rick couldn’t possibly deny on a regular day. In this instance however, it’s a more abnormal day in the life of Rick. Or is it? What exactly constitutes normal in the incongruous world of Rick and Morty?

The opposite of every other sitcom is probably a reasonable answer and the citadel of ricks in both concept and execution is extraordinarily different from anything seen before.

When Rick is forcibly summoned before the council of Rick’s (basically the budget versions of the genuine thing) they make the prejudice assumption that’s he responsible for killing a string of Rick’s - including the scientist formerly known as Rick. He endeavours to clear his name, but what he uncovers is both severely shocking and disturbing. What he doesn’t discover though presents a gargantuan problem in the grand scheme of things.

As the Rickest Rick and the Mortiest Morty purge the evilest Rick and free the hundreds of Mortys that are held captive, acting as a force field, its quaint ending is interrupted when upon further inspection, this Rick was being remote controlled by an unknown source.

Enter: Evil Morty.

A menace that has proven to be just as dastardly cunning than the countless iterations of the multiverses smartest man is still at large today.

His motivation is still not clear, but one thing that is abundantly so is that he has a vendetta against Rick and we’re eagerly anticipating just what heinous thing his Rick did that damaged his coda in the first place.
