Alice Cooper's long-lost son, Charles, has been at the heart of Riverdale for almost its entire run.
Forced to give him up for adoption due to her age, Alice got on with her life until she eventually revealed his existence to her family. However, she would later reveal to the viewers that he wasn't Hal's son but in fact, the son of F.P. Jones - making him the half-brother of not only Betty and Polly Cooper but also of Jughead and Jellybean Jones.
Unfortunately, the mystery surrounding his whereabouts appeared to come to an end in Season 2 when Betty discovered that the person they thought was Charles, Chic, wasn't actually her brother and was, instead responsible for his death. It was an underwhelming conclusion to Charles' story no doubt, but was that really how it all ended?
Now that The Farm is able to make Alice see her deceased son, fans have been wondering if Charles is really dead, after all. If he was able to cheat death, then surely he'd be able to make us believe in all the supernatural craziness that has gripped the town as of late, right? According to Chic, Charles was incredibly resentful towards his family for giving him up - perhaps the Gargoyle King is his way of exacting revenge.
