Riverdale Season 3: 9 Theories On The Gargoyle King's True Identity

Creepier than her father in every way imaginable, Evelyn Evernever has been a recurring presence since Riverdale's Season 3 premiere and, in being so, she has been a recurring thorn in Betty Cooper's side.

Spreading her bizarre philosophies, Evelyn has somehow managed to manipulate the likes of Kevin Kellar, Fangs Forgarty and Cheryl Blossom into partaking in unnerving rituals, apparent marriages and, most importantly, joining The Farm. However, the worst part about it is that she and her father have somehow brainwashed Alice Cooper into discarding everything that made her who she was.

Aside from Edgar himself, Evelyn is undoubtedly The Farm's biggest recruiter and has been tasked with targeting the next generation of "Farmies". But the whole 'next generation' aspect is exactly why she may be the Gargoyle King.

We've discussed the possibility that Edgar would have been a similar age to the likes of Alice during the Midnight Club days and thus, could very well have been the original Gargoyle King, so perhaps now, with The Farm reaching its peak, he has decided to pass the mantle to his daughter - making her his successor in every possible way.

Evelyn is unnerving enough without twigs and branches, and she does already seem to possess a supernatural-like ability of randomly appearing behind people without warning. She was also present every time that a student in Riverdale High took one of those Fizzle Rocks-induced seizures and may have been one of the figures watching as Polly's babies 'flew'.

Is it only a matter of time until we add 'Gargoyle King' to our list of reasons to be creeped out by her?
