Riverdale Season 3 Finale: 8 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Survive The Night'
4. Cheryl Saves The Day
When the core four had outdone themselves in Penelope's sick game of Gryphons & Gargoyles, surviving the night and, in the process, proving that they were better than the town, the twisted Blossom matriarch ordered for them all to be killed anyway. As a result, the heroes sprinted into the woods once more and, for a moment, it seemed like all hope was lost. That is, until an unlikely hero saved the day.
Riding in on the back of a jeep, Cheryl Blossom began firing arrows left, right and centre like she was the freakin' Green Arrow. Flanked by Toni and the recently-united team of the Serpents and the Poisons, she thinned the herd of Gargoyles and ended up saving the lives of Jughead, Archie, Betty and Veronica.
At this stage, it's well-documented how divisive Cheryl Blossom can be. A character with the potential to be brilliant, she's been held back on multiple occasions due to senseless heel turns and last minute character regressions.
However, after last week's turning point (where she finally believed Betty and subsequently helped Toni escape) this was another major step in the right direction for Riverdale's most fabulous redhead.
