Russell T Davies vs Steven Moffat - Who's Better?

Regeneration Episode

Discounting 'The Parting of the Ways', - as it wasn't originally a regeneration episode - 'The End of Time' and 'The Time of the Doctor' are actually strikingly different stories in tone and pace. Davies chooses to make his episode the biggest one of Tennant's tenure, whereas Moffat chooses to just tie up all the threads. And where Davies plays the sadness and tragedy of the Doctor dying to epic proportions, Moffat sees it as a triumph that the Doctor can regenerate, and makes 'The Time of the Doctor', in many ways, his biggest victory. Both choose to let their Doctors regenerate in the TARDIS, and both convey the fear of changing; both also show icons from each Doctor's past, but Davies chooses to elongate the goodbye for effect.
