Schitt’s Creek: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

2. Season 3

Schitt's Creek
CBC

There's a pre-Patrick Schitt's Creek and there's a post-Patrick Schitt's Creek. The former is enjoyable, feel-good entertainment, designed to make you laugh and unwind. The latter breaks the bounds of comfort viewing to become must-watch television. No matter what else is going on, be it in the series or in the reality around you, from the moment Patrick Brewer is introduced, the very meaning and purpose of humanity becomes intimately linked to (and dependant on) the success of his relationship with David. Yes, Schitt's Creek doubled down on the unrealistic romantic expectations that Disney spoon-fed us by also giving us unrealistic expectations for business partnerships. But we're here for it, and we're never skipping town.

But while we could talk about Patrick all day (seriously - just set a date), season 3 of Schitt's Creek is also one of its best years. Some of the most memorable arcs take place, such as Alexis going back to high school, David opening his apothecary, and Johnny and Stevie joining forces to run the motel. The only duds this season are the other guys that David hooks up with who aren't Patrick. Did we need that filler story with the photographer ex?

Highlights: Moira's car dealership backstory; Johnny waiting tables at Café Tropical; Alexis contracting head lice; the bunny cam; and that first kiss - you know the one.
