Schitt's Creek: 10 Best Standalone Episodes

8. Baby Sprinkle - S4E10

Schitt's Creek
CBC

The Rose children undergo the most drastic transformations from the beginning of Schitt's Creek. David starts out as an insecure, selfish, naive person to a businessman willing to share his life with the humble Patrick. A pivotal episode in David's life story is, without doubt, Baby Sprinkle.

Planning a baby shower for Jocelyn is far outside of David's comfort zone, partly because of his and Jocelyn's wildly different taste levels, but mainly because David has negative interest in children. He's not even au fait with what foods a pregnant person should avoid - soft cheeses and wine might be a staple of a Rose celebration, but they don't do well for the bun in the oven.

Yet David is able to rise to the challenge to pull off a pretty baller party, despite unwanted party-planning input from Roland and his baby-shaped pinata and other choice decorations that ordinarily would not gain David Rose's approval. And thanks to a fun childhood game, "Sleepy Mommy," the whole town can get in on the fun normally only afforded to the Rose kids. There are perks to having a mother addicted to narcotics after all.
