7. "Stop Saying Lice!" - S3E11

Schitt's Creek
CBC

Prior to losing all their money, the Roses' troubles and woes were undoubtedly very unrelatable. 'I left my golf shoes in my summer penthouse' levels of unrelatable. But living in Schitt's Creek means the ex-millionaires once again have to face plebeian difficulties - and unfortunately for Alexis Rose, her pursuit for self improvement means she has to once again put herself at risk of an unpleasant infestation to re-enroll in High School to gain her GED.

The lice outbreak almost spells disaster for the budding Rosebud Motel. David goes into panic mode with a shower cap/woolly hat combo in attempt to combat infection, and unbeknownst to anyone, a contaminated Alexis has done some manual work in the rooms. It's a blessing that the customers, themselves parents of a couple of sprogs equally prone to unwelcome bedfellows, are understanding when Johnny finally reveals the truth behind his desperate clean-sheet driven behaviour - even if the culprit is a 27 year old. Shout out to Ted, though, whose experience when flea-infested fur-babies is no match for Alexis' little friends. You're the best, Ted.

The overall experience humbles Alexis: she swallows her pride and owns up to the unfashionable diagnosis, and perhaps learns that even the formally rich and famous are not immune to lice.
