4. The Lake Fake Out

A similar thing happens later when Noah wakes up in the middle of the lake after having passed out. This is actually a pretty effective and creepy sequence where he slowly swims back to the shore only to hear something moving in the water around him. He's dragged underneath screaming, and the show cuts to commercial break. And then it comes back and he's perfectly fine. Granted, it would be a complete waste if the show killed its best character like this, and overall the scene really works, but the writers can only do something like this so many times before it gets old. Let's just hope their method for stretching this thing out for 10 episodes isn't to constantly have scenes where the characters just barely avoid death. By the way, how the hell does alcohol work in this show's universe? Noah is speaking perfectly fine at the party, then 60 seconds later his speech is slurred and he's so drunk he passes out, and then he wakes up in the lake and he's totally sober from then on. Okay then.
