Scream Season 2 Review: 7 Ups & 6 Downs
5. The Kills Aren't Inventive Enough
Though there's plenty of death in Season 2, unfortunately the majority of the kills are pretty standard fare and as such fail to stick long in the mind. Chiefly, there's nothing here that can even begin to live up to the gory insanity of Emma's boyfriend Will being split in half by a thresher last season, and in general the kill detail doesn't seem as strong, which will surely disappoint all the gorehounds out there.
There are a lot of generic, forgettable stabbings this time around, but not a whole lot in terms of actual demented creativity, which is a majorly missed opportunity.
