Scrubs: All Main Characters Ranked Worst To Best

The show had a healthy selection of principal roles, but the four central figures seemed to be that of JD, Carla, Turk and, of course, Elliot. While she was a hilarious character, played to perfection by Sarah Chalke, the part was a little messy and confused at times.

The positive sides of Elliot come in the fact that she was consistently amusing. The charismatic performance given by Chalke was always so full of energy and variety that she could find the humour in almost any situation she was plonked in. This led to Dr. Reed being a thoroughly easy character to root for, no matter what her motive was.

Unfortunately, the character faltered a little due to the fact that she was never quite as easily definable as the others. Almost every role had a specific place, but Elliot always felt too much like a romantic interest. The saga of herself and JD was entertaining but regularly prevented her from truly shining as a stand-alone character, as usually the conflicts she faced were limited to her interactions with him.

Additionally, her traits are a little less defined too, as her personality seemed to switch continually without a specific anchor point to ground the character in.
