Scrubs: All Main Characters Ranked Worst To Best

When it comes to Scrubs' most memorable characters, many fans will likely turn to this wonderful presence in the show. Neil Flynn's involvement with this series as The Janitor was utterly charming, and he quickly became one of the most beloved characters, despite being a clear antagonistic foil to JD.

His part was always intended to be a "villain", but unlike Dr Kelso, his bad intentions were almost entirely directed at one character and were based on slapstick and mean-spirited humour. This meant that he came across as likeable despite being mean to the protagonist, and as such, the writers had plenty of directions to go with him.

Janitor brought a different style of humour to the show which was still in-keeping with its spirit, whilst also contrasting the other roles. He delivered classic slapstick moments and humorous acts of cruelty which many of the other characters weren't able to do thanks to their position as doctors.

Finally, his custodial position gave him a compelling presence which instantly made him stand out amongst the collection of medical personnel that governed the show.
