Secret Invasion Episode 4 Review - 6 Ups & 4 Downs

6. Up - G'iah Lives

Secret Invasion Nick Fury
Marvel Studios

Last week's Ups and Downs gave episode three a big fat Down for the death of G'iah, however, there was also the caveat that it likely wouldn't stick. Naturally, G'iah's fake out and survival at the beginning of episode four now gets a big fat Up to make up for it.

This was the best way to start the episode, and it also confirmed that Talos' daughter now has a badass new power in Extremis. It was the elephant in the room that needed addressing in episode four, and the fact that Emilia Clarke's character is still alive and well can only be a good thing for the series.

Sure, it was a bit clunky and coincidental that G'iah just so happened to know how to administer the science to give herself her new ability, but that's forgivable in the face of a popular character staying in the series.

If only the series could have seen fit to keep Maria Hill around as well.
