Secret Invasion Episode 6 Review - 5 Ups & 4 Downs

6. Down - No Post-Credit Scene

Secret Invasion Nick Fury
Marvel Studios

The world may by and large be a little sick of superhero movies and TV shows right now, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still moving forward. It's been a rough few years since the end of Phase Three, but there are some genuinely exciting projects on the horizon.

Historically, any and all entries in the MCU have included a post-credit scene, teasing what fans can expect to come in the future. If ever there was a time Marvel Studios needed a little push in promoting its upcoming slate, it's now. However, now Secret Invasion joins Avengers: Endgame as the only other MCU project not to feature a post-credit scene.

This is disappointing, particularly when you look at what is coming up. The studio recently released a trailer for The Marvels, and given Secret Invasion's ties to Carol Danvers and the fact that Nick Fury will appear, wouldn't this have been a perfect time for a new glimpse into the movie?

Then there is Armor Wars, which Don Cheadle has previously stated will follow on directly from Secret Invasion. Yes, the real Rhodey was saved by the end of the series, but how exactly this will connect to his own project is currently unknown. This would have been the time to officially add Armor Wars to the slate with just a small taste.

First, the iconic Marvel Studios fanfare is missing all season, and now no post-credit scene.
