Sex Education Season 3: 12 Questions That Must Be Answered

Maeve’s mum and baby show up at her door after her abusive boyfriend kicks her out. Maeve reluctantly lets her stay under the pretence that she’s clean and has a job.

Thanks to a tip from Isaac, Maeve eventually learns that her mum is skipping work and is using again, so she reports her to social services.

The series ends with her mum and sister being taken away. It’s left unclear what exactly will happen to them or whether or not they’ll be back.

Hopefully season 3 will keep Maeve’s mum involved in her life in some capacity because it seems important to explore what it’s like to have a parent who is an addict. The series can highlight how difficult this issue is for everyone.
